Proverbs 27:23 Know well the condition of your flocks, And pay close attention to your herds... |
At Bar T Ranch, we take great pride in the way we raise our cattle. We strive to provide you with a product that not only tastes great, but is also healthy for you and your family! We know all of the information about each of our animals, because our cattle are born and raised here on our pastures until it is time for them to be processed. We even follow each animal as it is being processed for quality information, such as the marbling in the meat.
ALL statements listed below apply to each animal from birth to processing the actual cuts of meat. Few competitors can make these claims because they do not raise their animals from birth, and graze them on their own pastures until time to be processed. Please take a moment and read the information listed:
- All cattle are locally bred, born and raised on our ranch
- Our livestock are grazed on local pastures of bermuda grass, fescue, orchard grass, rye and native grasses
- To ensure a balanced diet, our livestock are also fed a nutritionist-recommended supplemental feed of grain and grain by-products, along with their grazing, during the later stages of their maturity
- No antibiotics or any animal by-products are ever fed to our cattle
- No hormones or steroids are used on our cattle
- No antibiotics are used - unless to heal a calf (even then very sparingly, with extra withdrawal period to make sure the antibiotics are completely out of the calf's system)
- All cattle on our ranch are treated humanely
- Our meat is its natural color
- All cuts of meat do NOT contain any type of additives or preservatives
- All cuts are vacuum packed, eliminating the need for preservatives. Since the meat does not come in contact with oxygen it maintains its freshness, texture, and flavor longer.
- Our beef is state inspected and processed at Northwest Meat Center in Hodges, South Carolina
- Our beef is a "Certified SC Product", a South Carolina Department of Agriculture program since 2006
